Orono, ME -The University of Maine's Center for Tourism Research and Outreach (CenTRO) will be holding a one day conference on the outlook of Maine's tourism industry. The Tourism Outlook Conference brings together tourism professionals, consumers, and industry experts from around the state and region to talk about Maine's largest industry. The conference will cover national and regional economies, the outlook for oil prices, Maine Turnpike Traffic and other factors affecting growth in tourism. There will also be an opportunity to provide your views on the outlook for tourism and help CenTRO improve our forecasting services for the tourism industry. Industry professionals will address the following: What can we expect in 2007? What are the emerging industry trends? How can the tourism industry remain competitive and keep Maine as a leader in providing tourism services? All the answers are provided at the 2006 Tourism Outlook Conference.
