Here is a
sampling of some recently published articles on visiting the Mid-Coast
region of Maine.
Vogue
Magazine, Point of View section, "The Maine Chance, Summer
Escapes-Maine", pages 186-195. This is an article and fashion
spread set in Maine with several celebrities who opt to vacation
in Maine. There is mention of Wiscassett, the Maine Antiques Festival
in Union and a photo of the windjammer VICTORY CHIMES as she sails
past the Rockland Breakwater.
The
Associated Press ran a travel brief on Rockland, Maine by Beth
J. Harpaz, AP Travel Editor for her column on May 17, 2004. It began
appearing in travel sections on Sunday, May 23rd, 2004 and includes
mention of the Farnsworth Art Museum & Wyeth Center, Maine Boats
& Harbors Show, Maine Lobster Festival, Monhegan Yacht WEENDAMEEN

and phone number. An excerpt: "Take a ferry

Washington
Post, June 8th, "In Maine, an Island of Sweet Lobsters
and Salty Humans" by Michael Powell, page A01. This article
talks about Matinicus Island. An excerpt: "We are on
the edge of the world," Postmaster Wanda Philbrook said of
her island. "And I love it..."
