We're a destination
where the quaintness of a Maine village extends its hospitality
to a myriad of upscale outlets and world class company stores,
unique specialty shops and inns, fine dining
establishments and casual
cafés. But
there is
so much more
Youll find breathtaking ocean views,
uncrowded beaches, seaside campgrounds, and adventure programs
that depending
upon the season, include everything from kayaking, hiking
and flyfishing, to cross-country skiing and outdoor
winter sports.
Were a unique destination with something for
everyone, and the home of L.L. Bean. We are fortunate to
be able to offer
our visitors a truly one-of-a-kind shopping experience in
an area that is rich with history, lore and natural beauty.
Visit
us and discover why we are close to everything, but far from
ordinary.
The Bustins Island anchorage area approximately 2 miles outside of the inner harbor is quite a beautiful spot that would be a treat for cruise ship passengers. There are two small ferry/ tour operators that could provide launch service between visiting cruise ships and the town wharf if desired.
Ground transportation for passengers between the village of Freeport, L. L. Bean and outlet shopping could be arranged upon request.
