The CruiseMaine Coalition has a constructed a new web based information
resource for use by the cruise lines and their passengers.
The website presents important information about tourism attractions,
ship and crew support services, docking and anchorage specifications
as well as local business information for the following Maine ports:
- Bangor
- Bar Harbor
- Bath
- Belfast
- Boothbay Harbor
- Bucksport
- Camden
- Castine
- Eastport
- Portland
- Rockland
“Our goal is to provide an online resource tool that will
become a favorite for everyone interested in cruising Coastal Maine”,
states Amy Powers, Director of the marketing coalition.
“We understand that it can be time consuming locating specific
information about boutique communities much like the majority of
our member ports, and this gives us the opportunity to present the
information in a consistent and professional manner that’s
accessible 24 hours per day.”
The member ports are preparing to welcome nearly 140 port-of-calls
in the upcoming 2003 season a slight increase over last season.
For more information about the CruiseMaine Coalition or the member
ports, please stop by booths 317 and 319 at the Seatrade Cruise Shipping
Convention, contact Amy Powers at 207.892.0709 or visit www.cruisemaineusa.com.
